Coronavirus information

PLEASE NOTE THERE ARE NO RESTRICTIONS IN PLACE IN REGARDS TO COVID AND SCHOOL. ATTENDANCE IS MANDATORY. ISOLATION IS STILL RECOMMENDED FOR ALL PEOPLE TESTING POSITIVE FOR COVID. THOSE WITH ANY OF THE 3 MAIN SYMPTOMS OF COVID SHOULD BEGIN ISOLATION AND GET A TEST. THOSE WHO TEST NEGATIVE ON 2 CONSECUTIVE TESTS FROM DAY 5 MAY RETURN TO THEIR NORMAL ROUTINE.

INFORMATION BELOW IS FOR REFERENCE

REMOTE EDUCATION PLAN IS BELOW FOR INFORMATION AS THIS REMAINS IN PLACE FOR THOSE ISOLATING DUE TO COVID

UPDATE: School is open to all pupils and attendance is mandatory.

To keep everyone safe children and staff will continue to engage in a hand-sanitising routine throughout the day.

Face coverings are no longer mandatory however you may choose to wear one and will be asked to wear one if you enter the building and a safe distance cannot be maintained.

The rules on isolation have now changed. Children will no longer need to isolate. The rules for isolation are as follows:

Schools will only be contacted in exceptional cases to help identify close contacts. Instead, NHS Test and Trace will work with the positive case and their parent to identify close contacts. Individuals are not required to self-isolate if they live in the same household as someone with COVID-19, or are a close contact of someone with COVID-19, and any of the following apply:

  • They are fully vaccinated;
  • They are below the age of 18 years and 6 months;
  • They have taken part in or are currently part of an approved COVID-19 vaccine trial;
  • They are not able to get vaccinated for medical reasons;

Instead, they will be contacted by NHS Test and Trace and advised to take a PCR test.

If your child is self-isolating because they have tested positive for Coronavirus then we need you to support your child's continued learning through the learning pack(s) sent home and via the resources on the 'Children' tab above. If you need to contact your child's class teacher then please click here. A device can be provided to you to support you to access learning at home. Please ask for this.

School's Risk Assessment (January 2022 version) can be found here. Please note that this risk assessment is a working document being altered as the COVID situation changes. Amendments will be made following change to school practice, local and national changes and as such this might not be the most up to date version. We will update it as regularly as possible.
