Abigail - Houses of Parliament

Voicebox, a National Speech and Language therapy company, held a joke competition across the country to showcase children's loud and proud voices.

Abigail - a GOLD member of the Seacroft Grange team entered and came second in the Leeds final held at Parklands Primary School.

Abigail was then chosen to attend the National Final held at the Houses of Parliament in London.

On Wednesday 2nd March 2016, Abigail, her Mum Jolene and Family Learning Mentor, Susan Hill, boarded a train from Leeds to Kings Cross. They crossed the capital using the London Underground and took part in the National Final.

The Seacroft Grange ambassadors had lunch in the Houses of Parliament then the 20 National finalists took to the stage to tell their jokes. Abigail shone for herself, her family, the Seacroft Community and the City by being loud and proud and receiving an award and goody bag for her success.

The day was a long one - they didn't get back to Leeds until 8.00pm. It was a wonderful day and we're very, very proud of her and her achievement!
